Bassoon master class with Nikolay Poghosyan

Nikolay Poghosyan, Concertmaster of ASSO Bassoonists, will hold a master class for the Foundation's scholar on October 13.

Within the framework of the Music for Future Classical Music Academy, Nikolay Poghosyan, Concertmaster of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra's Bassoonists, will hold a master class for the Foundation's scholarship holder on October 13 (Wednesday), from 2:30PM to 3:30PM. The master class will take place in the concert hall N409, at Tchaikovsky Specialized Secondary Music School. The event is supported by the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC).


The master class is open to students of musical institutions. Those applicants who didn't pass the scholarship competition can also be present at the master class as passive listeners.


Entrance to the master class is allowed only in masks.

Nikolay Poghosyan has been working as a soloist bassoonist since 2003 at the A. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet National Academic Theatre, and since 2005 - at the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, with which in 2016 he performed for the first time also as a conductor in Haikou, China.


Nikolay Poghosyan is the winner of the Emin Khachatryan Chamber Ensembles Competition. In 2016 he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.
