Scholarship holder Svetlana Hakobyan became the 1st prize winner

‘’Music for Future’’ scholarship holder, a young pianist Svetlana Hakobyan became the 1st prize and Special prize winner in ''Arno Babajanyan VI International Competition Festival for Junior and Young Pianists'' held in Yerevan.

Svetlana Hakobyan became the 1st prize winner in category ''B'' and was awarded a Gold Medal, as well as she was awarded a Special Prize for the best performance of Arno Babajanyn's work in the same category.


This year the Competition Festival is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great composer Arno Babajanyan.


The aim of the ''Arno Babajanyan VI International Competition Festival for Junior and Young Pianists'' is to support the development of a favorable cultural policy, identify junior and young talented performers, ensure their meaningful creative, performing and educational processes, promote the cultural ties with the Armenian communities of the Diaspora, as well as with organizations abroad representing musical culture.

 

Svetlana Hakobyan studies at Al. Spendiaryan Specialized Music School in the class of honored teacher of the Republic of Armenia Karine Harutyunyan.
