Educational trip to Estonia


The "Music for the Future" Cultural Foundation organized an educational trip for its scholarship holders to Tallinn and Pärnu, Estonia, from July 5-18, 2024, to participate in the Järvi Academy , which was held as part of the Pärnu Music Festival .


Järvi Academy: intensive training and mastery lessons


The educational trip organized by the Foundation was attended by 7 talented young musicians of the Foundation, specializing in string instruments (violin, cello) and wind instruments (bassoon, cornet, trumpet). 7 specialists worked with the young musicians, conducting 21 master classes and 2 lecture-meetings dedicated to the physiology of music.

The lecture-meetings on the physiology of music were led by Lisanne Altrov ( Austria). The meeting was aimed at presenting participants with mechanisms and exercises for managing stage fright, anxiety, and stress.


Pärnu Music Festival: concerts and stage rehearsals

The Foundation participants performed at two concerts of the festival as part of their educational visit: at the Pärnu Concert Hall with the Järvi Academy Youth Symphony Orchestra. The opening concert of the festival was conducted by the renowned conductor Maestro Näme Järvi. The second concert of the Järvi Academy Youth Symphony Orchestra within the framework of the festival, the Academy Closing Concert , was conducted by the advanced young conductors-participants of the Academy’s conducting courses and Maestro Näme Järvi.


The concert rehearsals were conducted by renowned Estonian conductors Andres Kaljuste , Paavo Järvi, Neme Järvi and other musicians. They took place in Tallinn, at the Tallinn School of Music and Ballet ( MUBA ) and the Pärnu Concert Hall.



After the master classes, the Academy participants gave a concert as part of a student matinee at Pärnu Town Hall .

Within the framework of the festival, the Academy participants also listened to concert performances by their teachers and professors at St. Elizabeth's Church in Pärnu , as well as other festival concerts with the participation of the Järvi Academy Sinfonietta , Nordic Pulse Orchestra, Estonian Festival Orchestra, and Pärnu City Orchestra .


In total, the Foundation's participants gave 7 performances within the framework of the Pärnu Music Festival, 2 of which were with the Järvi Academy Youth Symphony Orchestra, and listened to 8 concerts of the festival. A unique platform for professional growth and recognition


Participation in the Pärnu Music Festival and the Järvi Academy was one of the unique platforms where young Armenian musicians had the opportunity to benefit from world-class teaching, develop their professional skills, demonstrate their abilities, communicate with renowned musicians, the best specialists, and young musicians from different parts of the world, represent Armenia, gain recognition and new opportunities on the path to their professional development.

The founders of the festival and the Academy are the renowned conductors Maestro Paavo Järvi and his father Maestro Neeme Järvi . In 2023, the Pärnu Music Festival was recognized by BBC Music Magazine as one of the 29 best classical music festivals in Europe.


Järvi Academy organizes master classes with leading experts in the field, meetings with famous musicians for young progressive musicians and conductors playing string, wind and percussion instruments, as well as provides the best participants of the Academy with the opportunity to join the Järvi Academy Youth Symphony Orchestra ( JAYSO) and perform at the Pärnu Music Festival.
