I strive to receive a quality education. Marie Danielyan

-Can you tell me a little about yourself: how did you first become interested in music, how does your day go, and how do you manage to combine school and music?

-I have had a love for music and art since childhood. I loved rhythm, dance, and drawing. My brother studied at a music school, and I attended a dance studio nearby. I loved watching him learn notes, go through rhythms, and I would repeat them myself and play on the piano. I was 6 years old when my mother enrolled me in the Sayat-Nova Music School.

My daily life is connected to music. I practice, develop my theoretical knowledge, and participate in master classes. The choir has been an integral part of my day since childhood. I have been attending the “Little Singers of Armenia” choir since I was 6 years old. Despite my decision to become a musician, I consider all subjects of secondary school important.

-What do you like to do when you're not playing? Is there a hobby or activity that brings you joy? How do you like to relax after classes or long practices?

-It's true that I don't have much free time, but when possible, I like to spend it with my family or friends. When I'm alone, I watch movies, draw, and sometimes sleep. I feel satisfied when I manage to accomplish the tasks and plans for the day. After a long and busy day, I love our family evenings, the dinner my mother prepares, and our interesting conversations.

-What is the most interesting or favorite place you have ever been to, and what makes it special to you?

-I love traveling, studying the culture and traditions of other nations. I have been to different countries, but the most anticipated visit for me is and will remain my native Artsakh, the fortress city of Shushi and the holy place of Gandzasar.

-Do you have a favorite motto or saying that inspires you on your life's journey?

- The most difficult profession is being a human being.

-If you had a magical power, what would it be and how would you use it?

-If I had magical powers, I would eliminate evil from the face of the world, eliminate wars, and cover the world with love and kindness.

-Who are the musical inspirations or role models for you? How have they influenced your creative life? - The main role model and greatest teacher in my musical life is Maestro Tigran Hekekyan, a teacher from whom you can constantly learn. For me, he is an example of an exceptional person, a musician, and also an honest and patriotic citizen.

All teachers have their own special role and meaning for me, and I love and appreciate them all immensely.

From the very first day I entered music school, my beloved teacher, Marine Margaryan, has been by my side. It was thanks to her that I discovered the magical world of music. To this day, she is with me and by my side, helping me overcome this difficult and at the same time interesting path.

Professor Armen Babakhanyan has a unique place in my professional growth and development. I greatly value every master class, advice, and professional opinion I have with him.

-What are your goals and aspirations for the future as a young musician? Do you have any dream projects in mind?

-I strive to receive a quality education. I dream of performing concerts on different stages around the world, and of increasing people's love for music through my performances.

-Is there a word or phrase that best describes your personality and why?

- Optimism, perseverance and patience.

-Can you describe the role of the Music for the Future Foundation in your musical development, and how does it support you?

-The “Music for the Future” Foundation is a strong support for young musicians. This year I joined this big and beautiful family, which has already become dear to me. The warm atmosphere in the Foundation is very important, thanks to which our meetings and events are interesting and enjoyable. Within the framework of the program, we meet and get acquainted with world-famous musicians, listen to their live performances, and take master classes, which is a great opportunity to develop professional skills and musical taste. The mission of the Foundation is to form an individual with a broad worldview and mature self-awareness.

-What characteristic of yours do you think has helped you achieve success in music and life?

-I love to find the positive in everything, I appreciate sincerity and simplicity. Perceiving beauty is important to me in life, both when communicating with people and in everyday life.

-Is there any book or movie that has had a significant impact on you or your perspective on life?

-It may seem surprising, but my ideas about life and nature, good and evil, were formed thanks to the cartoons I watched and the fairy tales I read in my childhood. For me, the most profound cartoon is “Mowgli,” and the most influential is Henri Verneuil’s film “Mother.”

-Are there certain values or principles that you consider important and that guide your actions and decisions?

-The most important thing for me is to be honest with myself. I can't stand falsehood and hypocrisy. I don't like mediocrity. If I undertake something, I spare no effort to achieve the best result.

-Are there any special childhood memories or family traditions that are especially important to you?

-It is a tradition in our family to go on educational trips to different regions of Armenia. We have had many camping trips within the framework of the “Hay Aspet” school, as a result of which the motto “To love the Homeland means to know it” has become a principle for us.

One of my favorite traditions in our family is to celebrate each of our successes, and to discuss and overcome challenges and difficulties together. At the age of 7, I participated in an international competition for the first time and won first prize. I will never forget the impression and joy of that day for the rest of my life; it is one of the most vivid memories of my childhood.

-What qualities do you value most in your friends and the people around you?

- For me, the most important quality in people is the ability to love. To make the world a better place, to eliminate evil and envy among people, one must be able to love, because to love means to care.
