It doesn't matter how many years you have in your life, it matters how much life there is in your years. Edgar Mkhitaryan

Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you first became interested in music?

It can be said that music has been an integral part of my life since the day I was born. My mother is a pianist, her playing and practicing have always been before my eyes. In addition, we have a fairly large sound library, and classical music has always been played at home, and we also attended concerts a lot... I was enrolled in a music school at the age of 7. The question of choosing an instrument as such was not even raised. Piano.

What do you like to do when you're not playing? Is there a hobby or activity that brings you joy? How do you like to relax after lessons or long practices?

If you want to become a professional musician, especially a pianist, you have to be prepared to spend most of your day practicing, there is almost no free time left. I came to terms with that idea, and now the process of practicing also brings me joy, enjoyment, and satisfaction. And in my free time, I like to read, hang out with my friends, swim, ride a bike, take walks alone to sort out my thoughts, and of course, listen to music.

Do you have a favorite motto or saying that inspires you on your life's journey?

Yes, there are a few: "The world is yours," "Life is one, and you should live it worthily," "In the end, it doesn't matter how many years you have in your life, what matters is how much life there is in your years."

What is the most interesting or favorite place you have ever been to, and what makes it special to you?

There are many interesting places both in Armenia and outside of Armenia. I really like, for example, the Dilijan Composers' Union, which is part of the Dilijan National Park, is located in the lap of beautiful nature, and the nature is inspiring. I love Kapan. One of the most notable places for me is the Sergey Parajanov Museum, whose unique genius gives the house-museum an interesting energy, even though he did not live there.

If you had a magical power, what would it be and how would you use it?

If I could stop time from time to time, I would get quite a bit done.

What are your goals and aspirations for the future as a young musician? Do you have any dream projects in mind?

Yes, I have big plans and lofty goals. My greatest goal is to become a professional pianist, a prominent composer, and to be as useful to my homeland as possible.

What characteristic of yours do you think has helped you achieve success in music and life?

I think it's the talent and hard work that I discovered thanks to my teachers.

Can you describe the role of the Music for the Future Foundation in your musical development and how it supports you?

The “Music for the Future” Foundation gives me a great opportunity for development. Master classes, foreign language courses, stage experience, museum visits, interesting projects, concerts, friendship with talented young Armenian musicians, acquaintances with musicians who have conquered the stage - all this, naturally, cannot but contribute to my musical growth. I am grateful to the Foundation.

Are there certain values or principles that you consider important and that guide your actions and decisions?

Kindness, truthfulness, purposefulness, patriotism, selflessness, genius.

What qualities do you value most in your friends and the people around you?

It's important to me when a person has goals, isn't lazy and wasteful, isn't going to live an uninteresting, meaningless life. A friend is someone who is always ready to lend you a helping hand and support you in case of need.
