Violin master classes with Zohrab Tadevosyan

On June 15, from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, in hall N409 of Yerevan P. Tchaikovsky Secondary Music Vocational School, The famous Armenian/Spanish violinist and pedagogue Zohrab Tadevosyan , who is this year the chairman of the jury of the 20th International Khachaturian Competition, will once again hold master classes for young musicians of the "Music for the Future" Foundation .


We cordially invite students and teachers of all music and art schools to attend the master classes, during which the famous violinist Zohrab Tadevosyan will share his rich experience, advice, and valuable knowledge with young musicians.

Zohrab Tadevosyan has been the assistant of the legendary Ana Chumachenko for many years. He began studying violin at the age of 6 with his first teacher, Levon Zoryan. From the age of 13, he studied with his uncle, Professor Eduard Tadevosyan, who in turn was a student of the great virtuoso violinist of the 20th century, Leonid Kogan. After achieving a successful career, Zohrab Tadevosyan moved to Madrid in 2002 and studied with Zakhar Bron at the Reina Sofia Music School until 2003.


Since 2003, he has served as assistant concertmaster of the Madrid Real Theater Orchestra. Zohrab Tadevosyan is considered an important figure in the international music-pedagogical arena, focusing primarily on violin pedagogy.

Zohrab Tadevosyan is regularly invited to the most important European festivals and master classes, since 2016 he has been invited to a summer course in Nagold (Germany), at the Malta Academy of Classical Music, as well as at such academies as the Academia Internacional de Musica de Cagliari, Chieti Classica, Swiss International Music, Rheinau and the Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Salzburg.


He also gives master classes with his musical mentor Prof. Ana Chumachenko, is a guest artist at the Santander Music Festival. In addition, he teaches in Japan and is regularly invited to give master classes. As a jury member, he is invited to the most important international violin competitions, including: Luis Spor International Violin Competition in Weimar in 2019, Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition in Hannover in 2021.


From 2010 to 2020, he worked as a professor at the Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid, alongside his musical mentor, the legendary Professor Ana Chumachenko.

He currently conducts master classes all over the world.
